On April 4th, students from I LO, accompanied by Ms. Monika Szopa-Pawlik, took part in a forest planting activity organized as part of the educational and environmental project NEXT. The initiative aimed to engage young people in practical environmental action and raise awareness about sustainable development and climate responsibility. After a short hike to the planting site, participants received detailed instructions from forestry professionals on proper tree planting techniques, spacing, and the ecological significance of reforestation. Equipped with this knowledge, the students planted pine saplings, actively contributing to local afforestation efforts. The project not only emphasized ecological values but also encouraged teamwork, civic responsibility, and hands-on learning. The day concluded with an integration activity by the campfire, allowing for informal reflection and strengthening group bonds. The event was a valuable component of the NEXT project, combining environmental education with real-world impact and youth involvement in shaping a greener future.
